Introducing our new silk tallow base with our most unique Midnight Stag fragrance.While we still stand behind our OG base 100% and do not currently have plans to discontinue it, it has been five years since it was released and it was time to create a more modern shaving soap formula. We tested ingredient after ingredient racking up fifty-six test batches before we settled on this one. The main secret is a massive amount of silk hydrolysate which is a very conditioning, natural, film-forming agent which is used in a lot of anti-aging creams (anti-aging statement not evaluated by the FDA, Yaya, yadda, etc). Some of my testers reported feeling a skin tightening sensation - be aware that this is the film left by the silk hydrolysate. After being dissatisfied with every major brand of lip balm I tried, I locked myself in my lab and determined to make the best lip balm on the market for dry, cracked lips.  Batches were made, tested on my friends, and then thrown away until I got what we are selling here now - an all-natural lip balm base that feels oh-so-good!  Give it a try, I'm pretty sure you will never use another brand again! Flavor is of maple syrup aged in charred Kentucky whiskey barrels.  Note that in shipping, or if stored in a hot car, the balm may melt and stick to the top of the cap.  To fix this, place on its base in a microwave and heat for 1 minute.  Open lid, if not melted yet, replace lid and reheat in 15-second increments.  The label is for informational use only - feel free to peel it off when you get it if you want a plain tube, or it doesn't want to stick around. Black Fern is John Brown's fantastic take on a floral fougere.   This is an all-natural scent originally made popular by the Los Angeles Shaving Soap Co in their vegan shave products.  Now made available in our tallow formulation.
