Guy Noir - private eye. A man still searching for the answers to life's most persistent questions.
NPR was a large part of my childhood, and one of my favorite memories is listening to prairie home companion and the adventures of Guy Noir. I have a feeling that this is the scent he would wear.
Top Notes: Bergamot, Lemon, Orange
Mid Notes: Cognac, Nutmeg, Crushed Tobacco Leaves
Base Notes: White Woods
4oz of tallow based soap in large plastic tub. Plenty of room to load your brush without losing too much lather over the sides.
Ingredients: Stearic Acid, Aloe Vera Juice, Potassium Hydroxide, Beef Tallow, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Glycerin, Fragrance, Mango Butter, Avocado Oil, Silk Powder
A thick creamy soap that provides a rich lather that provides a smooth shave and very nice scent that reminds me of my Grandfather’s house. It is my new top favorite behind the Midnight Stag and Sherlock.
Guy Noir – Shaving Soap
As a Prairie Home Companion fan, when I saw this soap I knew I’d have to buy it. I’ve only used it a couple of times, but the scent is nice and the lather is terrific. I may have to try some others.
This is my favorite scent so far (wife also approves), and lathers up easily. My only complaint is that something in it causes a significant burning sensation when applied to my face. No allergic rash or dermatitis, just stings - haven't had that with your other products (exception is Cryogen, but that's a whole other story!). I'll still keep using it for the scent and great shave.
First I bought a sample of Midnight Stag and was surprised how my skin reacted to this soap formula - great post-shave feeling, smooth skin. Yes, we can say the same about many other soaps but I do love now this exact formula. A few days ago, I got a tub of Guy Noir, and I am surprised again - the best tobacco scent to me so far. I'd definitely buy a matching aftershave but alcohol aftershaves can't be ship overseas.
