Our Sherlock scent is inspired by the character brought to life in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in his classic series – The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes – written in the late 1800’s. It is a warm tobacco based scent blended with toasted caramel, black pepper, moist dirt, and finished with a touch of leather, moss, mandarin, honey and rose.

4oz of tallow based soap in a sturdy plastic tubs. Tubs are half full to allow for space to load your brush without making a mess.

Ingredients: Stearic Acid, Aloe Vera Juice, Beef Tallow, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Glycerin, Fragrance, Mango Butter, Avocado Oil, Silk Powder

The Games A Foot

Normally I purchase the British shaving soaps, but was interested as to what a Sherlock soap would smell like - its different all positive, lather is good. Hasn't made me to start smoking a pipe or help police solve old cases but the scent is good, with only a small amount needed to get a good lather so a tub will go a long way.

The smell is a little bit different than what I expected

Fresh wet Earth smell after a hard rain

If this is the scent profile you enjoy go for it. Not for me.

This shaving soap is my go to

I’ve been using Chiseled Face products for over 3 years. It’s difficult to say I have one favorite, but Sherlock is my go to for a regular day. It’s aromatic but not overwhelming; a great earthy scent with hints of leather and tobacco exactly as described. The soap itself lathers up nicely. Simply stated: I love it.

Ready. Set. Lather.

I have tried a few different brands of shaving soaps and shaving creams, and will say that for a shaving soap, these really do lather quite well and I was very happily surprised. The scent is fantastic, the soap is high quality, and I am looking forward to purchasing more products from Chiseled Face.
